Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are you in your 20s or 30s living in Alabama and facing big life changes like starting a new job, getting married, becoming a parent, or figuring out what’s next? Maybe you’re feeling anxious, stuck, or unsure of who you are. You could be overthinking, struggling in relationships, or noticing patterns from the past that keep coming up.

If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. I work with people in this stage of life to make sense of change, find their footing, and feel more like themselves. We’ll focus on navigating transitions, building confidence, and reconnecting with what matters to you all at a pace that feels right for you.

  • I work in a way that fits you and your life changes. We’ll focus on what helps you feel steadier, clearer, and more like yourself.

I use practical tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to shift unhelpful thinking, (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to ease the weight of tough memories, and body-based practices like mindfulness to help you feel grounded and present. Everything moves at your pace, centered on what matters most to you.

  • The first session is mostly about getting to know you and what’s going on in your life right now. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you here, what you’d like to work on, and what support feels helpful. I’ll ask a few questions about your history and current challenges, but there’s no pressure to share everything all at once.

This is a space to be heard and understood. We’ll move at your pace, and my goal is to help you feel safe, supported, and ready to start navigating this next chapter of your life.

  • I currently offer private pay sessions and will be accepting Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama soon. If you’d like to use out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. Feel free to reach out with questions! I’m happy to walk you through the options

  • Tele-therapy lets you meet from wherever you feel most comfortable without a commute or waiting room. I am based in Fort Payne but serve clients throughout the state of Alabama. We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform to keep everything private. All you need is a quiet spot, a device, and an internet connection. Before your first session, I’ll send a link and easy instructions. Then at your appointment time, just click and we’ll get started.

  • I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. If notice is given less than 24 hours in advance, a fee will be charged.

I understand that life happens, and I’ll always do my best to be flexible in the case of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances.

  • Not at the moment! I am currently only offering tele-health therapy to clients located in Alabama.

  • I work with individuals in their 20s and 30s navigating big life changes. I don’t offer couples or family therapy, but I’m happy to refer you to trusted providers if that’s what you’re looking for.

  • HIPAA stands for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Simply put, it’s a law that keeps your personal health information private and secure. Everything you share in therapy, your records, our session conversations, and personal details are protected. I use HIPAA-compliant platforms for telehealth and record-keeping to make sure your privacy is always safe.
